This paper presents a discussion on the formation of space in the city of Araguaina, by
highlighting the Village Maranhão, mainly discussing the modeling agents of space these that
make and remake the space, such as land developers, real estate developers these they do
and redo the space, so as the state, in order to discuss and address the root causes and
consequences of irregular occupations presenting the main problems such as substandard
housing, to lack of infrastructure, lack of running water, public lighting, lack of security and so
on. the State as and through this it is approved or not the allotments and carry out housing
programs, social workers excluded where being a good part of the population, which do not
have purchasing power to get a adequada.E housing within these agents that the Maranhão
village, an area that came from invasion, and the only option left to them, not to buy a house
and not get a room in a place social.Um program that is being forgotten by the public power
and a lot of grace, without minimal infrastructure, equipment that generates comfort for a
dignified life.
