Nitrogen is the gas with the highest concentration on the planet, being essential for the development of life on the planet, part of the chemical composition of proteins. In relation to its composition, we have that it hardly combines with other chemical elements and substances. Nitrogen found in the air cannot be absorbed by living beings in general, however some bacteria present in plant roots, such as legumes, are capable of transforming nitrogen into protein, which in turn is absorbed by animals through food. The present study carried out a bibliographic survey on the process of fertilizing pastures with nitrogen, increasing the production of organic material in pastures destined for the production of animal protein, in addition to avoiding the degradation process of these areas used continuously for the production of foods. Scientific research through research using keywords, aiming at a better understanding of the subject.
