Resumo:
Child and adolescent violence is a demand for great social harm, which is rooted in all social classes and affects the individual in its entirety. For the prevention and management of the various forms of child violence, joint actions of society, health professionals and institutions for the protection of children and adolescents are of great value. This research aimed to know the actions of health professionals incoping with violence against children and adolescents. This literature review is prepared according to the Scoping Review methodology in the PubMed, Scopus and VHL databases. Regarding the strategy used for prevention, the most adopted was: the practice of home visits. For the strategies used to combat violence against children and adolescents were: the act of denouncing, discussing the case amongthe team colleagues and offering guidance to family members. It can be concluded that there is still a limitation by the parts of health professionals in recognizing that they are actors of great relevance to confronting juvenile violence. It is evident the need for greater articulation between the networks that make up the child andadolescent protection service. The lack of understanding about the relevance is not limited only to a class of professionals, it encompasses a large part of the professionals who compose health services.
