It refers, therefore, to research in applied psychoanalysis in the theoretical-conceptual and documental field, which aimed to investigate the mode of subjectivation of the feminine based on the unfolding of the mother-daughter relationship, seeking to understand the devastation in Lacanian theory. We also analyze the relationship between cinema and psychoanalysis to help think about female subjectivity. Since Freud's discovery that the Oedipus Complex is observed in a different way in girls, it has become evident that the feminine field needed greater attention. Freud names the problematic relationship between a mother and her daughter as catastrophic. Lacan, when rereading the Freudian theory, postulated the devastation in accordance with the catastrophe already written by Freud. Therefore, based on some authors who contributed to theorizations about the devastation and based on some vignettes of the aforementioned film, this work presents itself as a filmic analysis with a psychoanalytical basis Este trabalho trata-se de um estudo a partir do filme “Sonata de Outono” pela perspectiva psicanalítica trazendo a devastação como fenômeno psicológico a ser analisado. Refere-se, portanto, a uma pesquisa em psicanálise aplicada no campo teórico-conceitual e documental, que teve como objetivo investigar o modo de subjetivação do feminino fundamentado nos desdobramentos da relação mãe e filha, buscando compreender a devastação na teoria lacaniana. Também analisamos a relação entre cinema e psicanálise para ajudar a pensar a subjetividade feminina. Desde a descoberta de Freud de que o Complexo de Édipo se observa de outra forma na menina, ficou evidente que o campo do feminino precisava de uma atenção maior. Freud nomeia a relação problemática entre uma mãe e sua filha como catastrófica. Lacan, ao reler a teoria freudiana, postulou a devastação em conformidade com a catástrofe já escrita por Freud.
