The present research aims to understand how the Educational Robotics discipline is constituted
in the study habitus of Elementary School II students at Escola SESI de Araguaína-TO. The
choice of teaching unit is due to the pioneering spirit in the insertion of the Educational Robotics
subject in its teaching curricular structure, being still the only one in the state of Tocantins to
offer it. This is a qualitative investigation, in the form of a Case Study, because, in addition to
a broad and deep description, it is intended to find, in the course of the research, both the main
characteristics of the discipline, which makes it unique, and its structuring. As a curricular
component. Based on the above, the research participants were students regularly enrolled in
the Elementary School II classes of that school, in addition to two more teachers who teach the
discipline, totaling 10 people involved. As instruments for data collection, official documents
were used that structure the discipline, interview, observation of classes, in addition to the
analysis of students' productions in the discipline. The data analysis process took place from
the following Integrated Analysis Units: “Technological Pedagogical Education”;
“Technological Mathematics Education”; “Mathematics Pedagogical Education” and
“Technological Pedagogical Mathematics Education”. The results show that the Educational
Robotics discipline meets many requirements related to the objectives proposed by Inventive
Learning, while the participants have autonomy in formulating problems and not only in solving
them, since the invention is directly related to the Educational Robotics. It is also possible to
perceive the positive performance in the students' habitus of study at different times, as they
develop skills through the construction of technological objects, when inventing and solving
problems, in argumentation and in their own autonomy, as they build and program robots. |
