This dissertation's objective is to discuss the writing and teaching of history on the
Northern Goias State Autonomous Movement (1821-1823) and to suggest a didactic
booklet on this subject. This research proposal justifies itself on the spotlight placed
upon the context of the independence of Northern Goias, which is taught in schools
as being the foundation of the history of Tocantins state. We have taken a local
History approach, focusing on its importance in history teaching, along with an
explanation of the materials used in schools in the state of Tocantins as didactic
input. The discussion of the main historical contributions to Northern Goias autonomy
process served as a parameter for understanding the content taught in basic education so that the information to be included in the proposed didactic booklet for teaching the regional history of Tocantins could be better selected. |
