Obligatory supervised traineeship was carried out in Bovine Clinic of Garanhuns,
Campus Garanhuns, Federal Rural University of Pernambuco (CBG / UFRPE), from
June 01 to 31 July 2015, under the supervision of Doctor Luiz Teles Coutinho and
guidance Prof. Dr. Michel José Sales Abdalla Helayel, with activities developed in the
areas of Medical and Surgical Clinic of ruminants and horses and Clinical Laboratory,
totaling 352 hours. During this period they were performed 152 calls with clinical,
diagnostic, and clinical and / or surgical treatments. This paper aims to explain the
activities developed during the curricular supervised training, conduct brief literature
review of vagal indigestion - of Hoflund syndrome -, common disease in dairy cattle,
usually secondary to other pathology, and later report an illness case a mini cattle,
where the etiology is idiopathic, worth pointing out that this disease is a significant
cause of injury irrespective of the type or fitness, because your poor prognosis
unfavorable.
