In order to understand the use of the application in the work of the production team, participant observation was used in the team's work environment, during the period from October 03 to 14, 2022, semi-structured interview and quantitative survey of the guidelines produced in October of the same year. We also present a review of the Agenda-Setting Theory, encompassing its concepts and the functioning of the scheduling process in contemporary times. With this, it was evident that the use of the application is fundamental for the production of the television news, since the tool brought the production closer to the community, bringing new conditions and ways of verifying information, with the help of the viewers in the indication of the agendas and in the sending the information. A dissertação é um estudo sobre a utilização do aplicativo de mensagens WhatsApp, dentro da rotina de apuração de notícias e na construção de pautas para o telejornal Balanço Geral. Para entender o uso do aplicativo no trabalho da equipe de produção, foi utilizada a observação participante, no ambiente de trabalho da equipe, durante o período de 3 a 14 de outubro de 2022, entrevista semiestruturada e levantamento quantitativo das pautas produzidas, no mês de outubro do mesmo ano. Apresentamos, também, uma revisão da Teoria do Agenda-Setting, englobando seus conceitos e o funcionamento do processo de agendamento na contemporaneidade. Com isso, ficou evidenciado que a utilização do aplicativo é fundamental para a produção do telejornal, uma vez que a ferramenta aproximou a produção da comunidade, trazendo novas condições e formas de apuração de informações, com o auxílio dos telespectadores na indicação das pautas e no envio das informações. 2023-08-28T22:25:31Z 2023-08-28T22:25:31Z 2023-03-15 FEITOSA, Hérica Rocha Borges.
