In Brazil, children and adolescents are seen as subjects of rights in a unique condition of development with absolute priority after the approval of the Federal Constitution of 1998 and later the advent of the Statute of Children and Adolescents (ECA). In light of the rights guaranteed by constitutional and statutory laws, any type of violence, harassment or indifference that results in the abuse of children or
adolescents is considered a violation of these rights. This course conclusion work is about sharing about the experiences of a curricular internship in Social Work carried out at the Specialized Reference Center for Social Assistance (CREAS) about violence against children and adolescents assisted by the Protection and Specialized Assistance to Families and Individuals service (PAEFI). The methodology adopted for the construction of this work was based on bibliographical studies related to the theme and documentary research in CREAS archives in PALMAS-TO, with a focus on the demands of violence against this public met by the PAEFI in the period from 2013 to 2017 |
