Resumo:
The present study aims to describe traditional non timber forest products extraction technics and the authors traditional learnings and practices about her people’s traditional medicine, the Takaywrá Krahô tribe whose territory is sited in Lagoa da Confusão – Tocantins State. Are shown results of the conscious bark extraction practice of three forest species and a palm specie, used in the healing of body and soul female illnesses, in the preparation of natural medicines, comprising the practices thought orally between generations. This way, contributing to the comprehension of the responsible use knowledge of plant parts as products. Traditional Medicine has been solving problems that the conventional medicine treatments haven’t achieved to solve or even understand, bringing however, efficient and natural solutions that consider the being as a whole and treat it’s wholeness. The importance of the medicinal plants is not only related to its effects and healing power in body and spiritual sicknesses, but also, make that the conscious extractions technics be thought and kept as cultural heritage, preserving the environment and the interculturality.
