Resumo:
Pasture degradation is a serious problem in the Brazilian production scenario, and is commonly caused by soil degradation resulting from compaction, erosion, and inadequate management, depleting soil chemical attributes. The objective of this work was to emphasize the soil degradation, its causes and consequences that reflect on the characteristics of the pastures. When by some form of degradation the soil loses essential nutrients, it is possible to diagnose the losses due to the structural characteristics of the plants. Soil degradation results in a decrease in pasture production and a low nutrient content in the plant.
