This work aims to obtain a survey through forest inventory with systematic sampling, of the
floristic composition and diversity in a rural property in the state of Tocantins, with the aim of
granting the owner authorization from the competent environmental agency for vegetation
suppression. 26 plots of 10x100 m were allocated, measuring the total height, commercial
height and CAP (≥20 cm). From the trees measured, the volume of wood was obtained, the
species were classified between the destination of firewood, or immune to cutting. The most
important species was Curatella americana L., known as Sambaíba or Trash. The Fabaceae
family was the most representative with 12 species. The estimated volume of wood for the
entire area to be deforested was 1,254.28 m3. 803.1903 m3 of wood is immune to cutting. Since
the area showed a great predominance of measured stems intended for firewood, 100% of the
total area of the property has vegetation characteristic of cerrado, with predominance of Cerrado
Sentido Restricto Ralo.
