The objective of the present work was to evaluate the effect of water condition on the biometric
characteristics of Ateleia glazioviana Baill seedlings. The seedlings came from seeds, acquired
by the company Arborcenter. The sowing was done in black plastic bags of 15x20 cm, where
three seeds were sown per container and filled with a mixture of 70% of substrate composed in
a proportion of 2: 1: 1 (black soil, bovine manure and carbonized rice straw) and 30% sand.
The statistical design used was completely randomized (DIC), represented by three water
treatments: Treatment 1 (T1): control with (irrigation) at 80% WC. Treatment 2 (T2): With
recovery (water deficit) 14 days, and well-watered 8 days. Treatment 3 (T3): continuous stress
for 22 days. Seedlings. The variables analyzed were: (VR), (CR), (MSF), (MSC), (MSR),
(MST), (H / D), (H / MSPA), (MSR / MSPA) and (IQD) The biometric responses of the
seedlings obtained to the water conditions of continuous stress, recovery and control did not
follow a pattern inferring that the species has a great genetic plasticity. The species of Ateleia
glazioviana Baill has tolerance to water stress of at least twenty-two days, at the seedling stage. |
