Resumo:
To identify the prevalence of risk behaviors to eating disorders in teenagers from Palmas-TO and its relation to body dissatisfaction and sociodemographic characteristics. It’s a quantitative descriptive research performed with student teenagers from high school. The data collect happened remote. The Eating Attitudes Test (EAT-26) was used for eating behavior evaluation and the Body Shape Questionnaire (BSQ) to evaluate body self-realization. The sample was constituted by 58 participants, majorly females with ages between 15 and 17 years, studying in second year. We found that 17,2% of the sample had a positive score on EAT-26, while 8,6% showed some level of body dissatisfaction according to BSQ. There were no associations between sex, age, height and BMI with the scores on EAT-26 and BSQ. A positive association between body dissatisfaction and overweight or obesity was observed (p=0,007). Furthermore, it was found that adolescents with some level of body dissatisfaction had higher median score on EAT-26 (p=0,03).
