Resumo:
This research addresses the theme, Violence Against Women - Desnaturalizações and Persistence in order to bring a reflection on the policies for defense and protection of women. What we have achieved during these ten years of the Maria da Penha Law, and other laws that support the rights of same, we question on the number of violations of their right to physical and moral integrity. What has been extinguished mitigated or even remained stagnant and what concrete can effectively realize to change the reality of prejudice and discrimination suffered by them both in the personal as professional. The big challenge is increasingly closing the gap between what is human and can make a woman so that in fact, we can establish a more pluralistic environment, more diverse, with more possibilities of action of all those involved without the old distinctions and ties that both delayed the unfolding of life. Machismo is still present in certain situations of social relations such as subordination in public office, although these have won among other rights to financial independence, the struggle for voting rights and equal pay. But these are the fruit of arduous struggles that are still waged by women for their independence, and recognition of their contribution to society.
