The advance of agribusiness in Brazil represents the transformation of land, nature and
the workforce into goods to meet globalized markets. The peasant social class, whose
way of life understood here is basically based on the relationship between Land, Work
and Family, and it will be possible to see how they have been suffering a process of
territorial coertion by agribusiness, because this conservative hegemonic model aims to
achieve the expanded reproduction of capital. In this sense, the central objective of this
work is to analyze the territorialization of capital resulting from the advance of
agribusiness, the benefits and interferences in agriculture and livestock, which revolve
around Araguaína. And in this scenario, the spatialization of farms allowed the opening
of new exogenous markets; established a heated "land market" in the region, raising its
price; promoted a large labor force, however, we can still affirm that there is in this
environment a land grabbing and concentration in the hands of a percentage of large
farmers, impacting under the small properties, and as a result - the
expropriation/subjugation/pressure of the peasant. |
