Resumo:
This article was developed based on exploratory bibliographic research, with the objective of analyzing published works that address environmental education to reduce potential risks of fires and fires. In this sense, the present research proposes to answer the guiding question: What is the importance of environmental education to reduce potential risks of forest fires in Brazil?. Mainly emphasizing the importance of public policies for environmental preservation, reinforcing how much the government needs to advance in policies to prevent and combat fires, emphasizing that environmental education is a tool and of paramount importance in combating fires and fires used by inspection agencies. The use of fire exposes larger portions of the population each year, making them vulnerable to its effects. Even with strict legislation, literature reviews show that most of these burning practices are intentional, be it cultural cleaning of pastures and crops, preparation of areas for plantations or animal husbandry. Therefore, information must be organized, passed on and discussed not only among local authorities, but also with multidisciplinary teams, allowing monitoring and decision-making in the face of environmental problems and public health on the importance of Environmental Education in combating fires. and forest fires.
