On the other hand, even with this relevance, many companies today have faced several difficulties in carrying out effective management in this area, generating a need to implement strategies that enable this effectiveness. Given this context, the objective of this research is to analyze the strategies that can be adopted to achieve greater efficiency in the inventory management process, through the discussion of concepts related to the theme and analysis of the results of a case study carried out with the objective of identifying the bottlenecks of the company studied with regard to the inventory management process and proposing, based on the discussed concepts, improvement actions so that the company obtains a better performance in inventory management. The research has a qualitative approach and an applied nature, in which bibliographic research, direct observation and semi-structured interviews were used to collect the necessary data for the development of the work. Based on the analysis of the results, the inventory management process was described “as is”, making it possible to identify the main difficulties faced by the company studied in relation to inventory management, with the main one being the gap in the training of employees. Finally, strategies were proposed that can be used to achieve the performance objectives of the studied company in this area of the considered organization. A gestão eficaz de estoques é um elemento indispensável para o sucesso de qualquer empresa, independente da área de negócio, pois ela está diretamente ligada aos resultados financeiros da organização. Por outro lado, mesmo com essa relevância, muitas empresas da atualidade têm enfrentado diversas dificuldades para efetivação de um gerenciamento eficaz nessa área, gerando uma necessidade de implantação de estratégias que possibilitem essa eficácia. Diante desse contexto, o objetivo da presente pesquisa é analisar as estratégias que podem ser adotadas para se alcançar uma eficácia maior no processo de gestão de estoques, por meio da discussão dos conceitos relacionados ao tema e análise dos resultados de estudo de caso realizado com o objetivo de identificar os gargalos da empresa estudada no que diz respeito ao processo de gerenciamento de estoques e propor, a partir dos conceitos discutidos, ações de melhorias para que a empresa obtenha um desempenho maior na gestão de estoques. A pesquisa tem uma abordagem qualitativa de natureza aplicada, no qual se utilizou de pesquisa bibliográfica, observação direta e entrevista semiestruturada na coleta dos dados necessários para desenvolvimento do trabalho. Com base na análise dos resultados, foi descrito o processo de gestão de estoques “como ele é (as is)”, sendo possível identificar as principais dificuldades enfrentadas pela empresa estudada em relação à gestão de estoques, com a principal delas sendo a lacuna na capacitação dos colaboradores.
