Resumo:
This monograph results from research carried out as a Course Completion Work (TCC) of Pedagogy at the Federal University of Tocantins-UFT Campus de Miracema/TO. The theme was Art in Early Childhood Education: An experience of the Institutional Teaching Initiation Scholarship Program (PIBID). The general objective seeks to understand art in the child's school development, considering the work promoted in school institutions of Early Childhood Education, based on the experiences of the Institutional Program of Scholarships for Teaching Initiation. The research is justified to strengthen the Teaching of art in Early Childhood Education and properly implement Art as a pedagogical instrument for the development of the child, in accordance with the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC). In this sense, the problem of this research was to answer whether the school's pedagogical work has promoted art as a didactic tool in the school routine. The methodology used a qualitative bibliographical and documental approach based on the PIBID experience of a basic exploratory nature, with a bibliographic review procedure based on scientific studies. The theoretical foundation used in the research is based on studies by authors such as Spada (2006); Drumond (2018); Feraz and Fusari (1993); Kuhlmann Junior (2000); Ferronatto (2006) among others. The studies carried out by these authors contribute to understanding the advances in Early Childhood Education and the importance of teaching art at this stage of the child's development. In this way, it was possible to understand that art is fundamental for the development of young and very young children if worked in accordance with current legislation, the BNCC and legal frameworks that govern the provision of Early Childhood Education.
