Resumo:
This study aims to elucidate the current state of scientific production regarding the psychologist's role within the Family Health Strategy (FHS) and the comprehensive care for users of alcohol and other drugs, using the theoretical frameworks of the Brazilian Psychiatric Reform as a foundation. Through an integrative review, with a qualitative approach and employing Bardin's content analysis methodology, nine articles were selected. From these, the following analysis categories emerged: I) Residency Programs as a gateway for psychologists in the FHS; II) Biomedical model and the hegemonic view of psychological practice; III) Stigma, prejudice, and lack of health professionals' training in caring for drug users. The results indicate how the integration of psychology into the FHS has contributed to reshaping psychological practices that align with the dynamic context of a social-community and territorial perspective. Additionally, they highlight how the lingering biomedical care model has manifested in stigmatized practices regarding users of alcohol and drugs.
