Accessibility is one of the main instruments to ensure social inclusion, this term comes from access and according to the Federal Constitution of 1988 is the materialization of the right of equality, which seeks to ensure in an isonomic way the access of people to other rights, either whether fundamental or not. Due to this constitutional guarantee, it was decided to investigate its compliance in the Palmas Forum, the largest Comarca of Tocantins and the one responsible for judging demands that impact the entire State, besides being the working environment of this researcher. The method of exploratory research was used, which was based on the collection of consistent data through the review of specific literature, legal norms and data extracted from the field and documentary research. The on-site verification allowed us, from the observation, to gather elements through the analysis of the physical, architectural, communicational, attitudinal and assistive technology aspects. Data were sought from institutions that are essential to justice and to the agency responsible for the geography and statistics of the Brazilian population. With the accomplishment of this research it was possible to have a panoramic view on this subject in all the Brazilian Courts, based on information provided by the National Justice Council (CNJ). The justification for this study is supported by the importance of the theme that is closely linked to the dignity of the human person, in addition to the large contingent of people with disabilities in the Brazilian population who need help. The results showed that one of the main judicial units of the State has some mechanisms that comply with the provisions of the legislation, but these do not yet guarantee full accessibility of persons with disabilities to the Judiciary in the capital of Tocantins, and also indicates the need to foment and expand the accessibility of persons with disabilities to ensure the implementation of human rights. Esta dissertação teve por objetivo investigar se os instrumentos de acessibilidade disponíveis para as pessoas com deficiência no Fórum Central de Palmas garantem de forma efetiva o acesso à justiça. A acessibilidade é um dos principais instrumentos para assegurar a inclusão social, este termo advém de acesso e de acordo com a Constituição Federal de 1988 é a materialização do direito de igualdade, que visa assegurar de forma isonômica o acesso das pessoas aos demais direitos, quer sejam fundamentais ou não. Em função dessa garantia constitucional, optou-se por investigar o seu cumprimento no Fórum de Palmas, a maior Comarca do Tocantins e a responsável por julgar demandas que impactam todo o Estado, além de ser o ambiente de trabalho desta pesquisadora. Empregou-se o método da pesquisa exploratória, revisão de literaturas específicas e das normas legais, além do levantamento de dados consistentes extraídos da pesquisa de campo e documental. A verificação in loco nos permitiu, a partir da observação, reunir elementos por meio da análise dos aspectos físicos, arquitetônicos, comunicacionais, atitudinais e de tecnologia assistiva. Buscou-se dados junto às instituições essenciais à justiça e ao órgão responsável pela geografia e estatística da população brasileira. Com a realização desta pesquisa foi possível ter uma visão panorâmica acerca desta temática em todos os Tribunais brasileiros, com base nas informações prestadas pelo Conselho Nacional de Justiça (CNJ). A justificativa para a realização deste estudo encontra sustentação em razão da importância da temática que está ligada à dignidade da pessoa humana, além do grande contingente de pessoas com deficiência na população brasileira que necessitam de auxílio para ter acesso à justiça.
