The implementation of ports in the district of Miritituba, in the municipality of Itaituba-PA, through viable programs for the installation of large port companies, are transforming the socioeconomic scenario in the medium and long term, and bring discussions about this change of process. Thus, the present study has as a problem to understand what is the vision of the comunity leadership about the contribution of the installation of the bulk port in the district of Miritituba, in the generation of employment and income for the population of Itaituba? And as a general objective, analyze the visions of this comunity leadership about the contribution of bulk ports in the generation of jobs and income from their implementation in Miritituba. The methodology used was based on the literature review for the theoretical construction of the work, using the qualitative approach, exploratory and descriptive research, with field research and documentary research. In the results we found divergences of information, between the AMPORT newsletters and the speech of the community leaders, especially regarding the professional qualification courses offered by the companies. Another relevant fact concerns the community's feeling that companies have stimulated the informal economy in the Miritituba district, especially by offering courses to the local community. At the same time, the population resents the lack of monitoring by the municipal government with the companies, in the monitoring of their actions and activities provided for in the terms of Agreement 008/2013, previously signed between society, municipal government and the port companies. Given the data analyzed, it can be concluded that the contribution of ports to the Miritituba district in the generation of employment and income has been happening positively. However, some aspects need to be taken into consideration, such as: the qualification and professional profile of community residents. It is necessary for the municipal government to monitor the actions and activities of the companies, as well as to fulfill the commitments previously signed between the parties.
