This is paper has as it theme “History socio-economy and urban: A case
study on the Quilombo Lagoa dos ìndios” It consist of a qualitative investigation
using both bibliographical and field research with reports of life stories of some of
the inverviewes, what demands a basically interpretative study as well. Focusing
on and clearing up the life style of this community, particularly leading it into social
knowledge, became our main goal, once it is from then on that one has possibility
of understanding the feeling and the view the group has about itself and from
society towards it as a quilombola group. The paper is divided in 3 chapters. The
first one presents a teory on the formation process and the relevance of quilombos
in the settlemen of Amazon. In the second chapter, its origin, histiry and
regularization process are emphasized, with a focus on the people involved in this
fact ando n the consequences they suffer for remaining as negroe descendants.
Finally, the third chapter reveals the case study in which the infrastructure and
socioeconomic conditions of thisa community are detailed. However, the up-todate máster plano of Macapá, which has the constitutional obligation of helpingin
the protection and development of minorities, does not include public policies and,
so, leaves this community in a level beneath the urban. |
