Resumo:
Based on the critical theory, which emerged from the Frankfurt School and was inspired by Marx, this research aims to discuss about authenticity in the era of technical reproducibility in the digital environment, based on Walter Benjamin and his essay "The Work of Art in the Age of its Technical Reproducibility", originally published in 1955. In this way, we seek to understand and analyze the meaning of authenticity within the journalistic production on the Web nowadays, taking into consideration the technological environment, the revision of the concepts of authorship, property and purity/authenticity, in the era of technical and digital reproducibility. It is also taken into consideration the authorship in cyberspace before the reality of remixes (LEVY, 1998) in the process of creation and journalistic production before the convergence of traditional media (JENKINS, 2009; CASTELLS, 2017); and, finally, it is identified the relationship between aura (BENJAMIN, 2017), authorship (FOUCAULT, 2009) and remixes, relating them to the production, sharing and dissemination of distorted, false or manufactured news of essentially sensationalist nature.
