Society access to the environment leads to several transformations as a result of
practical anthropic activities, therefore, the vast majority of environmental
degradation is associated with these actions, affecting social and environmental life.
Due to the advanced population growth in Vista Alegre do Juá occupation area and
of developments in its proximities, it was possible to see that it is at a time of
environmental vulnerability due to the great use of natural resources and their
degradation. Based on observing the maps, we were able to visualize the major
impacts and thelandscape disfigurement, noting as relevant changes that housing
projects, irregular occupations and the lack of basic infrastructure caused, such as
the scarcity of flora and fauna, leading to damage to the water body of the Juá lake
due to the dumping of residues in its bed, which contributed to silting, also harming
fishing activities and favoring the loss of biodiversity or compromising the
population's quality of life. Therefore, the aims of this work is to analyze the temporal
landscape of the invasion of Vista Alegre do Juá area, in Santarém-PA, using the
Google Earth Software as a tool to aid in the construction of knowledge of the
changes that have occurred in the area over time and also for understanding the
dynamics of spatial geographic space.
