Resumo:
The survey was conducted from August 2014 to July 2015, in the municipality of Santarém, Pará State. The objective was to characterize the physical and chemical aspects of the soil occupied by various types of farming in the physical space of the Park School. The study site was divided into six areas, which are: cassava, fruit, secondary forest, substrate, suspended garden and soil garden. Next were collected five simple samples at a depth of 20 cm to form a composite sample of the study area, with dimensions of 10 m2. Chemical analyzes were performed at the Laboratory of Embrapa Amazônia Oriental and granulometric analysis at Laboratory of Geology of the Universidade Federal do Oeste do Pará, through the sieving method. The chemical characteristics evaluated point lower fertility in T6 and T4 due to the low sum of bases and base saturation, high aluminum saturation and acidity. The granulometry, soil texture in the studied production systems is sandy. Where techniques of organic farming can be used to restore and maintain the fertility of the soils analyzed. It is important to use methods compatible with the local reality, allowing the use of own materials of the region.
