The objective of this work is to carry out a literary review of the different methods of estimating the volume of wood, with emphasis on generic and specific models, in order to find out what is the best use of logging, for Tapajos National Forest. The review addresses topics such as form factor, rigorous copper, adjustment of volumetric equations - showing simple and double input models. Generic models can estimate volume per unit of area, including individuals of interest independent of the species, but present large variations of estimation errors, since there is a restriction on the number of dependent variables. The specific models are recommended for native forests due to the diversity of size and dendrometric characteristics that the species present, but the estimate of estimation may be greater than that of generic models. There is a need to carry out studies in the Tapajos National Forest as essays studied, since the use of wood can be improved when choosing what is most accurate in the volumetric estimation. |
