Resumo:
In this work we characterized samples of copaiba oleoresin (Copaifera reticulata) harvested in dry and wet seasons in the National Forest of Tapajós, in the western region of Pará state, Brazil. The samples were analyzed by Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR), Raman Spectroscopy (FT-Raman), Absorption and Emission Spectroscopy in UV-VIS, measurements of physicochemical properties (index acidity, saponification, refraction, density and viscosity) and the dielectric constant. The study suggests qualitatively that seasonality of harvested of oleoresin not may vary its physicochemical, vibrational, optical and dielectric properties. Despite small number of samples analyzed and the short study time, differences in the key assignments of each sample, efficiency in sending radiation showed by oleoresin harvested in dry season and the change in acidity level suggest that it is important to develop studies that link the seasonality of Amazon region to its natural products to add environmental, scientific-technological and economic value to these natural resources.
