In the municipality of Santarém –PA, the treatment is carried out through a UBOX reactor, in this sense, the present work has the general objective of evaluating the physical characteristics of the ETE and conducting a study of the efficiency of the UBOX reactor of the Sewage Treatment Station of Bairro do Uruará , by removing solids, nutrients and organic matter. For physical characterization, visits were made in loco and photographic records. The samples were collected at the reactor entrance (raw sewage-E1), and at the reactor exit (already treated sewage-S1), where through analysis of physical-chemical parameters, the treatment efficiency of the TEE was evaluated, through its capacity pollutant removal. The results obtained through the physical-chemical analyzes were compared to the values established by the environmental legislation. The average removal efficiencies were 84.14%, 46.13%, 36.3%, 93.57%, 84.52%, 84.5% and 72.2% for the phosphorus parameters, total solids respectively (ST), volatile (SV), Total suspended solids (SST), volatile suspended solids (SSV), chemical oxygen demand, chemical filtered oxygen demand. Os esgotos sanitários geralmente apresentam alta carga orgânica, substâncias químicas tóxicas e microrganismos, sendo que, uma vez dispostos sem o devido tratamento podem ocasionar danos à saúde pública e ao meio ambiente. No município de Santarém –PA, o tratamento é realizado através de reator UBOX, neste sentido, o presente trabalho tem como objetivo geral avaliar as características físicas da ETE e realizar estudo da eficiência do reator UBOX da Estação de Tratamento de Esgoto do Bairro do Uruará, através da remoção de sólidos, nutrientes e de matéria orgânica. Para caracterização física, foram realizadas visitas in’ loco e registros fotográficos. As amostras foram coletadas na entrada do reator (esgoto bruto-E1), e na saída do reator (esgoto já tratado-S1), onde através de análises de parâmetros físico-químicos foi avaliada a eficiência de tratamento da ETE, através de sua capacidade de remoção de poluentes. Os resultados obtidos através das análises físico-químicas foram comparados aos valores estabelecidos pela legislação ambiental.
