The research is the result of the work of completing the undergraduate course in Integrated
Degree in History / Geography of the Basic Education Teacher Training Program (PARFOR)
of the Federal University of the West of Pará (UFOPA) and analyzed the Amazon content in
the textbook of Geography, whose guiding question was: How the Amazonian space is
presented in the didactic book of geography of the 7th year of Elementary School?
Therefore, this study was developed using a qualitative approach with bibliographical review
and documentary research. The textbooks evaluated were approved for public schools and
are part of the National Textbook Program (PNLD) for the 2017-2019 triennium and analyzed
from some criteria that were considered fundamental for a greater understanding of its
geographical heterogeneity in its dimensions physical and human are: diversities of
environments, economy, transport network and circulation, politics, population, culture and
city-urban. Through the bibliographic review of authors such as: Eidorfe Moreira (1989);
Berta Becker (1990); Gonçalves (2001) and Trindade Júnior (2006) were identified, that the
works do not treat the Amazonian space as totality, and at the same time it could be inferred
the little attention given to the content that surrounds the Amazonian reality, as well as the
non-use of production of researchers from the Amazonian geographical space in the
elaboration of the content of textbooks. |
