Therefore, the present study aimed to survey the decapod crustaceans fauna in the surroundings of the community of Curral Grande, in the municipality of Monte Alegre-PA, in two streams and a lake evaluating if these environments present differences in their composition. The animals were collected in four sampling stations, georeferenced with the aid of a GPS device (GARMIN) in two periods, in the months of July and September of 2017. The results showed the presence of two shrimp species of the family Palaemonidae (Macrobrachium amazonicum and Macrobrachium ferreirai) and a crab species of the family Trichodactylidae (Dilocarcinus pagei). Although it was possible to identify only three species of crustaceans, due to the short period and the small sample area, the work contributed to a greater knowledge in the area of decapod crustaceans, since these animals had not yet been identified in the region of Monte Alegre-PA. Estudos sobre a biodiversidade dos crustáceos nos ecossistemas são importantes não apenas para o estabelecimento de bancos de dados sobre essa biodiversidade, mas também como ferramentas que possam auxiliar na construção de processos e diretrizes que servirão para nortear o uso sustentável dos recursos naturais, integrando usos tradicionais destas riquezas pela população local. Portanto, o presente estudo visou o levantamento da fauna de crustáceos decápodes no entorno da comunidade do Curral Grande, no município de Monte Alegre-PA, em dois igarapés e um lago avaliando se estes ambientes apresentam diferenças na sua composição. A coleta dos animais foi realizada em quatro estações amostrais, sendo georeferenciadas com o auxilio de um aparelho GPS (GARMIN) em dois períodos, nos meses de julho e setembro de 2017. Os resultados demonstraram a presença de duas espécies de camarões da família Palaemonidae (Macrobrachium amazonicum e Macrobrachium ferreirai) e uma espécie de caranguejo da família Trichodactylidae (Dilocarcinus pagei). Embora tenha sido possível identificar somente três espécies de crustáceos, em virtude do curto período e da pequena área amostral, o trabalho contribuiu para um maior conhecimento na área de crustáceos decápodes, visto que esses animais ainda não haviam sido identificados na região de Monte Alegre-PA. 2024-09-13T21:15:23Z 2024-09-13T21:15:23Z 2017 TCC SANTOS, Vianei Oliveira.
