The present work has as its theme the migratory process of the Wai Wai Indigenous
People from English Guiana to the northern region of Brazil made through reports
from the Mapuera Village lords. Where the goal is to research oral reports from the
Wai Wai, Katwena, Xerew, Tuunayana and Hixkariyana ethnic lords and hear them
talk about the history of their people. The choice of the theme arose from the concern
that, currently, young people of Wai Wai do not know its origin and history. With this
initiative I hope to collaborate to keep our history alive through the written record for
future generations. |
