Resumo:
Currently in Brazil, epidemiological data point to an increase in the prevalence of overweight and obesity, especially in children, as this public is in the process of forming their eating habits. The objective of this work is to map the information regard ing the healthy and adequate diet of children under 10 years of age, monitored by the Basic Health Unit of Maracanã, urban area of the Municipality of Santarém - Pará. It is documental research of public data, of secondary base (Sisvan) and primary of th e family health teams. The results indicate that, between 2017 and 2022, 5,168 children under 10 years of age were identified in the Sisvan Web reports monitored by the Maracanã UBS. Anthropometry (weight x height) showed that more than half of the evaluated children are in adequate weight, but when it comes to food consumption on the day before the collection, it is verified that the intake of ultra-processed foods starts early, that is, in children aged 6 months to less than 2 years, with an upward trend in the other age groups. There is a socioeconomic vulnerability of families, as more than half of them have a family income of up to one minimum wage. As for schooling, there was a relatively high proportion of children aged between 2 and under 5 who do not attend school (39.96%). Related to the theme of healthy eating, actions are developed such as the Exclusive Breastfeeding Program (PROAME); Growth and Development (CD); School Health Program (PSE); Food Acquisition Program (PAA) and anthropometry (weight x height) in the micro area. The participation of the CHA in family guidance promotes actions that enable positive changes in the eating behavior of families, whether in the Basic Health Unit, at home, in schools, kindergartens, or any spaces in the territory that help in promoting health. Healthy and adequate food, in addition to constituting a fundamental and universal right, to which every person needs to have access, maintenance and sufficiency in quality and quantity, corroborates with the social determinants for health conditions at all stages of life. Especially in childhood, where, among other things, the construction of the basis of eating habits begins.
