The objective of the work was to evaluate the effect of rates of cattle manure on lettuce development. The study was carried out from August 28 to October 7, 2023 at the Federal University of Western Pará, Juruti, Pará. The experiment was set up in the greenhouse I of the Agronomy course, in a completely randomized design, the treatments were constituted with five rates of cattle manure equivalent to 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 Mg ha-1 and control without manure application, with six replications. The rates of tanned manure used in the work were recommended according to the crop's need for the use of organic fertilizer. The cattle manure was purchased from a local property. A soil with known fertility was used as substrate for cultivating the crop. The crop used was Crespa Lettuce. Transplanting took place in September 2023. The parameters evaluated were: plant height (cm), number of leaves per plant, root length (cm), shoot and root dry mass (g), leaf diameter (mm). The results obtained were subjected to the test of homogeneity of variance, normality and analysis of variance, carried out using the Tukey test at 5% probability, for the rates of manure, a regression analysis was carried out, testing a linear and quadratic model with a significance level of 5%. All evaluated parameters
showed significant results for rates of 40 and 50 Mg ha-1 compared to the control, the fresh matter of the leaf and root were 52.2 and 23.0 g plant-1 , achieved with the rate of 50 Mg ha-1. The rates of cattle manure positively influenced the development of lettuce. |
