The objective of this study is to describe the extrajudicial and judicial actions demanded in the city of Santarém (PA) from 2008 to 2018. This is a descriptive and retrospective study, with a quantitative approach, observing the paths that users take to use the judicialization of health in two aspects: Extrajudicial, with data extracted from the Procedural Control System of the 8th Prosecutor's Office for Fundamental Constitutional Rights, Constitutional Actions, Defense of Administrative Probity and Public Treasury - Health and Education, and the Judicial, extracted in the 9th Regional of the Secretary of Public Health of the State of Pará. Between 2015 and 2018, 187 extrajudicial actions were filed and 124 lawsuits between 2008 and 2018. It can be said that there was an effective growth in both of extra and judicial processes. In extrajudicial cases, 80.7% originated from the Public Health System, 62.6% registered the active ingredient and 61.5% contained drugs listed in the list of essential medicines. In the judicial process, 61.3% of the lawsuits has been originated from the Public Health System, only 29.8% accused the registration of the active ingredient and only 12.9% contained drugs listed in the list of essential medicines. Access to medication through extrajudicial means is a more efficient and quicker resolution strategy, considering that some demands were resolved only through the administrative process, reducing actions that forces the government to provide the medications. A judicialização da saúde vem crescendo nos últimos anos, o número de decisões judiciais vem obrigando o poder público a fornecer medicamentos e insumos para os pacientes que venham a precisar. O objetivo deste estudo é descrever as ações extrajudiciais e judiciais demandadas no Município de Santarém (PA) no período de 2008 a 2018. Trata-se de um estudo descritivo e retrospectivo, com abordagem quantitativa, observando os caminhos que os usuários fazem para utilização da judicialização da saúde nas duas vertentes: Extrajudicial, com dados extraídos do Sistema de Controle Processual (SCP) da 8° Promotoria de Justiça de Direitos Constitucionais Fundamentais, Ações Constitucionais, Defesa da Probidade Administrativa e Fazenda Pública - Saúde e Educação do Estado do Pará, e Judicial, extraído na 9a Regional da Secretaria de Saúde Pública do Estado do Pará (SESPA). No período compreendido entre 2015 a 2018, foram interpostos 187 ações extrajudiciais e 124 ações judiciais compreendidas entre 2008 a 2018. Pode ser afirmado que houve efetivo crescimento da quantidade de processos tanto extra como judiciais. No extrajudicial 80,7% dos processos tinham origem no SUS, 62,6% apresentaram o registro do princípio ativo e 61,5% continham medicamentos que constavam na RENAME. No judicial, foram 61,3% processos com origem no SUS, apenas 29,8% acusavam o registro do princípio ativo e somente 12,9% continham medicamentos que constavam na RENAME.
