The Chinese Agricultural Reform has enabled China to achieve high rates of economic growth and a continuous modernization process since 1980. Through a new management in agriculture, the country has demonstrated that it is possible to feed its huge population even with few natural resources. Thus, China projects itself in Africa using a distinct strategy from Western countries and exports its agricultural development model especially to those countries that demonstrate a higher level of vulnerability and deficiency in food security, translating into a useful investment for both parties. However, it consists in relations with different degrees of mutual gains. Therefore, this work aims; in general, to discuss the strategies of Chinese insertion in the African continent and, from a postcolonial perspective, it’s possible to assume that China in its current economic potency condition acts in Africa like a neocolonialist country |
