The social movements, although always shared the principle of the international solidarity, come to act, since the globalization, more incisively in the international system. Therefore, this article proposes that the social movements from the Amazon, through the diplomacy of people, seek to build social force in order to echo their demands at the international field and, thus, to materialize them at the domestic field. And by doing that, enticing the process of the Pan-Amazonian integration. This article has exploratory nature and the methodology applied was qualitative. First, it aims to contextualize the object, developing the most important theories in the process. Secondly, it aims to analyze FOSPA through the exercise of the diplomacy of the people. The results from the study indicate that the exercise of the diplomacy of people at FOSPA is an instrument of bargain of the social and indigenous movements at the international field, even though, domestically, the internationally recognized rights are not properly respected yet Este artigo tem como objeto o exercício do internacionalismo dos movimentos sociais e indígenas da Amazônia, com o recorte das campanhas internacionais na décadade 1980 até o exercício da diplomacia dos povos no Fórum Social Pan-Amazônico (FOSPA). Os movimentos populares, apesar de partirem do princípio de solidariedade internacional, passam, a partir da globalização, a atuar de forma mais contundente no sistema internacional. Assim, o trabalho parte da hipótese de que os movimentos sociais da Amazônia buscam, através do exercício da diplomacia dos povos, defender suas demandas no âmbito internacional e, assim, obter a força social necessária para concretizá-las no âmbito doméstico. No que tange à metodologia, a pesquisa tem caráter exploratório e cunho qualitativo. O artigo está estruturado em duas seções: em um primeiro momento, busca-se contextualizar o objeto, desenvolvendo os marcos teóricos mais importantes para sua análise. Em um segundo momento, analisa-se o FOSPA enquanto espaço de exercício da diplomacia dos povos.
