Resumo:
The investigation pointed in this Final Graduation Work intended to study the construction of the urban space and the housing that parts from an androcentric view that does not contemplate women in their projectual conception and planning, in relation to their specific daily demands, making necessary the discussion from the female point of view about the house and the city. In this way, the goal of this monograph was to create the theorical-projectual allowance to think the Social Housing by the gender optics and understand how the State and their public politics about housing still reproducing an architecture that does not reflect these female demands and, especially, women heads of families, this being the study cut of this work, once the relation "women heads of families" and "social housing" brings itself the idea of intersection of gender and class, fundamental to comprehend how these public politics are thought. And, as place that materialize the ideas pointed here, there is Conjunto Habitacional Mucajá as empirical object of investigation, where it occurred as the main methodological procedure, beyond theory, the aplication of forms that indicated the veracity of the subject discussed, what created the basis to guide the elaboration of the urban-architectural project that translated the female needs in that place and proposed equipments to make the life of these women easier
