The phylum Arthropoda, comprises the largest animal group, its high diversity an abundance generate difficulties in the teaching process. Thus, the present work aimed to develop thematic collections and morphological catalogs of arthropods, which will serve as didactic support material in the Zoology classes of the Biological Sciences courses at the Federal University of Amapá/ UNIFAP, in addition to being used in traveling exhibitions held in institutions primary and secondary education in the municipality of Macapá Four didactic catalogs were made up of images illustrating the external morphological characteristics of the Insecta, Crustacea, Myriapoda and Cheliceriformes groups. And seven entomological collections organized by themes related to the medical, forensic, agricultural, ecological and biodiversity aspects in general. The didactic materials created are an important resource in the teaching and training of students regarding the recognition and classification of arthropods, and may contribute to the improvement in the teaching of zoology in schools.
