As a theoretical-methodological option, the Castells proposed guidelines were followed, exploring its reference in investigations and the concepts of the configuration of a society in networks, but also based on theories that deal with transportation, tourism, interdependence between transport service and tourism, planning and evolution of maritime fluvial transport in the Amazon and Soure. Of qualitative quality, this research was carried out based on exploratory studies, through a combination of bibliographical survey and field research, with systematic observations and semi structured interviews. It was possible to observe that the transportation service is for tourism planning, one of the fundamental elements for the activity to happen. It is the means of locomotion and makes the visitor and the place visited are put in touch, linking different places, contexts and cultures. In this sense, it was noticed that part of the problems experienced by the interviewees in Soure is due to the lack of policies and actions of the public power and the private initiative or even the neglect, in relation to the difficulties that directly affect the user, and which reflect in the tourism. Influencing decisively in the development of Soure, as well as in the competitiveness of the destination, which only happens with the practice of the tourist activity. Therefore, the management of public services requires that articulations of the various social actors take place for the construction of public policies and demand a new perspective social, so that it is possible the occurrence of rights and not needs, because the actors involved are subjects, who must participate in the construction of social reality, thus prevailing relationships between equals. CNPq - Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico O objetivo principal desta pesquisa foi analisar a importância do transporte fluviomarítimo no turismo e no desenvolvimento local de Soure-PA, e como objetivos específicos: analisar a visão dos agentes dinamizadores da atividade turística sobre o transporte fluviomarítimo; analisar a percepção dos usuários sobre o transporte fluviomarítimo para Soure; identificar as iniciativas do setor público, privado e da sociedade civil para a viabilização do turismo e do transporte fluviomarítimo; e por fim entender como ocorre a locomoção dentro de Soure, a partir de uma trajetória balizada nas relações entre os agentes que influenciam diretamente nas ações implementadas no serviço de transporte para a localidade. Como opção teórico-metodológica, foram seguidas as orientações propostas Castells, explorando seu referencial nas investigações e os conceitos da configuração de uma sociedade em redes, mas também se alicerça em teorias que tratam do transporte, do turismo, da interdependência entre o serviço de transporte e o turismo, do planejamento e da evolução do transporte fluviomarítimo na Amazônia e em Soure. De cunho qualitativo, esta pesquisa foi realizada com base em estudos exploratórios, por meio da combinação entre levantamento bibliográfico e pesquisa de campo, com observações sistemáticas e entrevistas semiestruturadas. Foi possível observar que o serviço de transporte é para o planejamento do turismo, um dos elementos fundamentais para que a atividade aconteça. Ele é o meio de locomoção e faz com que o visitante e o local visitado sejam colocados em contato, ligando diferentes lugares, contextos e culturas. Neste sentido, percebeu-se que parte dos problemas vivenciados pelos entrevistados em Soure é decorrente da falta de políticas e ações do poder público e da iniciativa privada ou até mesmo o descaso, com relação às dificuldades que afetam diretamente o usuário, e que refletem no turismo. Influenciando decisivamente no desenvolvimento de Soure, bem como na competitividade do destino, que só acontece com a prática da atividade turística.
