The objective of this study was to relate the flow behavior with changes in land use and land cover for the years 2004, 2008, 2010 and 2014. For this, land use and land cover data from the TerraClass project was used to identify the proportion of the classes in the basin and in the APPs; for the evaluation of the hydrological behavior the average monthly flow and the quarters of higher and lower flow were analyzed, besides the spatialization and the behavior of the precipitation in the period from 1983 to 2014. The results indicate a reduction in the forest class for the Capim river basin , and an increase in the pasture and agriculture classes, but in the APPs an increase of the forest class was identified in the period from 2004 to 2014. There was a high correlation, both for the uses and coverages of the whole basin and for only the APPs of the resources between the forest and pasture classes with the flows of the Capim river. The analysis of the basin landscape showed an increase in forest fragmentation, and the metrics with the highest correlation with the flow behavior were total forest edge (TE) metrics, pasture aggregation index (AI) and intercalation index, and juxtaposition (IJI) and AI of agriculture; indicating that the fragmentation of the forest cover of the basin and expansion of the areas destined to pasture has been reflected in the behavior of the flow. CNPq - Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico As implicações ocasionadas pelas mudanças no uso e cobertura da terra afetam o comportamento hidrológico de bacias hidrográficas; neste contexto, insere-se a bacia do rio Capim localizada no nordeste do Estado do Pará. O estudo teve como objetivo relacionar o comportamento da vazão com as mudanças no uso e cobertura da terra da bacia, para os anos de 2004, 2008, 2010 e 2014. Para isso, utilizou-se os dados de uso e cobertura da terra do projeto TerraClass, a fim de se identificar a proporção das classes na bacia e nas APP’s; para avaliação do comportamento hidrológico analisou-se a vazão média mensal e os trimestres de maior e menor vazão, além da espacialização e o comportamento da precipitação no período de 1983 a 2014. Os resultados indicam uma redução na classe floresta para a bacia do rio Capim, e aumento das classes pastagem e agricultura, porém nas APP’s identificou-se um aumento da classe floresta no período 2004 a 2014. Obteve-se uma alta correlação, tanto para os usos e coberturas de toda a bacia como para somente as APP’s dos recursos hídricos, entre as classes floresta e pastagem com as vazões do rio Capim. A análise da paisagem da bacia mostrou um aumento da fragmentação florestal, sendo que as métricas com maior correlação com o comportamento da vazão foram as métricas de borda total (TE) da floresta, índice de agregação (AI) da pastagem e índice de intercalação e justaposição (IJI) e AI da agricultura; indicando que a fragmentação da cobertura florestal da bacia e ampliação das áreas destinadas a pastagens tem obtido reflexo no comportamento da vazão. 2019-03-13T17:46:05Z 2019-03-13T17:46:05Z 2018-04-09 Dissertação DIAS, Gustavo Francesco de Morais.
