Resumo:
This research aims to evaluate comparatively the data of students of 5 undergraduate courses of the (UFRA), from 2002 to 2004, related to students from public and private schools and the period from 2005 to 2007, regarding to the quota holders and not quota students to know if there was a decrease in the academic performance of students after the adoption of quotas at the university since 2005.The study is characterized as a case study and the methodology considered the information in the Dean of Education, through the vestibular reports and SISCA.With the construction of three indicators, performance indicator on access, indicator of efficiency and Income and Losses indicator, we performed the calculations of these indicators, then the comparative tests in the statistical program BioEstat 5.0.The results founded by a quantitative analysis of information, showed no decrease in student performance after adoption of quotas in Ufra.In other words, evidence that there was no difference in the comparison of the approved by the school of origin, in Graduation Success Rate in Evasion rate, the frequency of General Income Ratio (CRG), and the retention rate for public school, there only difference in evidence in the retention rate of students from private school
