This essay reflects about how two archival documentaries produced by TV Cultura do Pará
filmmakers articulates the notion of “place of memory”, created by Pierre Nora (1984). The
film approach is realized from the film analysis notion created by Manuela Penafria (2009)
that defends that a film must be investigated considering internal and external elements. Our
analytic efforts see these films in its relations with the institutional creation space, TV Cultura
do Pará, its filmmakers, its production conditions and the memories of the investigator,
forming, in the end, a kind of documentary memory. |
