Conducting field research, guided by readings of the social-symbolic networks of ties, indicates that these objectified manifestations of the family farming livestock process in the region are neither the result of family farmers' actions based on a calculation of odds and gains, nor actions. With an explicit position of purposes, nor rational calculation of means, cattle raising within family farming is the result of practices that are considered unconscious reflecting products of the habitus adjusted to a set marked by a social game in which these social agents have responded with actions. practices aimed at ensuring the daily living of the family; the reduction of labor hardness and intensity; interaction with inherited physical conditions; access to bank credit; gaining purchasing power and bargaining power; and facilitating market integration CAPES - Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior Reconhecendo que a agricultura familiar tem estatuto e dinâmicas conceituais próprias e tendo por base o tratamento de dados dos Censos Agropecuários de 1995-1996 e 2006 e do Cadastro Ambiental Rural de 2016, a tese demonstra que, entre 1985 e 2016,no agrário da região de Marabá houve relativa estabilidade tanto na concentração fundiária quanto na dimensão da agricultura familiar; e que a principal mudança foi a de que a produção da pecuária vinculada diretamente à agricultura familiar, saltou de 18% para 24,39% do valor regionalmente produzido; o valor bruto da produção da pecuária que representava 37% do valor total da produção da agricultura familiar atingiu 67% do valor deste segmento; o percentual do número de estabelecimentos da agricultura familiar que desenvolvia pecuária passou de 31% para 83%; e a área nos estabelecimentos da agricultura familiar destinada à pecuária, mais que duplicou, deslocou-se de 41% para 87% da área nos estabelecimentos da agricultura familiar da região. A realização de pesquisa de campo, norteada por leituras das redes de laços sociossimbólicos, indica que estas manifestações objetivadas do processo de pecuarização da agricultura familiar na região não resulta nem de ações dos agricultores familiares baseadas em um cálculo das chances e dos ganhos, nem ações com posição explícita de finalidades, nem cálculo racional de meios, a pecuarização no seio da agricultura familiar resulta, sim, de práticas tomadas como inconscientes refletindo produtos do habitus ajustado a um conjunto marcado por um jogo social no qual estes agentes sociais têm respondido com ações práticas voltadas a garantir o sustento cotidiano da família; à redução da penosidade e intensidade do trabalho; à interação com condições físicas herdadas; ao acesso ao crédito bancário; a obter poder de compra e de barganha; e a facilitar a integração mercantil. 2019-11-07T15:39:43Z 2019-11-07T15:39:43Z 2019-08-29 Tese TEIXEIRA JÚNIOR, Tiese Rodrigues.
