Like this being, the article gathered efforts in understanding those workers’ of the nature daily life as, for instance, their survival strategies inside the coastal ecosystem. Este estudo concentrou esforços em entender as relações de poder e consequentemente os significados que os trabalhadores do manguezal (coletores de caranguejo) elaboram do seu local de trabalho, assim dentre várias possibilidades de análise foi necessário interpretar os sentidos históricos que a construção da estrada Bragança-Ajuruteua promoveu na vida dos coletores, uma vez que a mesma transformou formas de vivência, hábitos e maneiras de relacionamento com a natureza que há muito estavam estabelecidas. Assim sendo, o artigo reuniu esforços em compreender a vida cotidiana dessas pessoas como, por exemplo, as suas estratégias de sobrevivência no interior do ecossistema costeiro.
