The objective of this work is to analyze the discourse that involves the category sustainable
development, especially when linked to economic growth, for this we start from the contribution of
authors of critical theory, as well as other critical authors of the concept, to analyze the idea of
sustainable development that consolidates itself, mainly from the 1980s, and translates into the
formulation and implementation of public policies aimed at the Brazilian Amazon, marked by the
ambiguity of economic growth combined with environmental conservation. |
