In view of this, the theoretical-methodological contributions used were, among others, the following: Donna Haraway, Adriana Pisciteli, José Olivar, Elizabeth Bernstein and Pierre Lévy. Methodologically, it is based on the observation of 467 advertisements displayed on digital platforms (F, G, N and S), used as “corners”. To this end, the rules and policy of use, the typification of services available, such as the profiles of advertisers, were observed during the period from January 2020 to July 2021. It is also supported by the ethnographic meeting with three cisgender women aged between 24 and 35 years, residing in the city of Belém do Pará, residents of the so-called “periphery”, with complete higher education, unemployed, or who experience their training profession in a precarious way, from December 2018 to September of 2020. The data indicate that the financial factor and the search for social ascension, are propellers for entering prostitution, as a temporary movement, which guarantees investment in professional qualification and the cost of their basic expenses, which is facilitated by the platforms where they publish their profiles, which present themselves as environments in which sexual services are negotiated. The research also shows how much the use of information technologies and internet access impacts even on sexual exchanges, affecting the way in which services are offered and which services are sought, allowing advertisers autonomy, convenience, security and discretion. In the provision of services. It is concluded that there is a continuum of permanence and reconfigurations in affective-sexual and economic exchanges negotiated in what I call “virtual corners”. Esta pesquisa se propõe a identificar e analisar os intercâmbios afetivo-sexuais e econômicos, assim como as vivências e estratégias de mulheres belemenses para transitar no espaço virtual do mercado do sexo, amplamente afetado por transformações comunicacionais, impulsionadas pela internet. Em vista disso, os aportes teórico-metodológicos utilizados foram, dentre outros, os que seguem: Donna Haraway, Adriana Pisciteli, José Olivar, Elizabeth Bernstein e Pierre Lévy. Metodologicamente, fundamenta-se na observação de 467 anúncios dispostos nas plataformas digitais (F, G, N e S), utilizadas como “esquinas”. Para tanto, foram observados os regramentos e política de uso, as tipificações de serviços disponibilizados, tal como os perfis das anunciantes, durante o período de janeiro de 2020 a julho de 2021. Apoia-se, ainda, no encontro etnográfico com três mulheres cisgêneras com faixa etária de 24 a 35 anos, residentes na cidade de Belém do Pará, moradoras da chamada “periferia”, com nível superior completo, desempregadas, ou que vivenciam sua profissão de formação de modo precarizado, no período de dezembro de 2018 a setembro de 2020. Os dados apontam que o fator financeiro e a busca por ascensão social, são propulsores para o ingresso na prostituição, como um movimento temporário, que garante o investimento em qualificação profissional e o custeio de suas despesas básicas, que é facilitado pelas plataformas onde publicam seus perfis, as quais se apresentam como ambientes em que serviços sexuais são negociados. A pesquisa evidencia, ainda, o quanto o uso das tecnologias da informação e o acesso à internet, impacta inclusive nos intercâmbios sexuais, afetando no modo como os serviços são ofertados e quais serviços são procurados, possibilitando autonomia às anunciantes, comodidade, segurança e discrição na oferta dos serviços. Conclui-se que há um continuum de permanências e reconfigurações nos intercâmbios afetivo-sexuais e econômicos negociados no que chamo “esquinas virtuais”.
