The general objective of this study is to analyze the relationships between different actors in the tourism chain in FLONA Tapajós, examining governance and collective action of local social agents. For this purpose, four specific objectives were identified: 1) Identify and analyze actors involved in tourism in FLONA Tapajós; 2) Analyze tourism governance in the studied FLONA; 3) Verify the existence of collective actions in the communities and their governance process; and 4) Analyze how local communities are involved in this management process. The research was built upon qualitative data and an interdisciplinary approach, using bibliographic references on tourism, governance, collective action, and environmental issues. Documentary research was also conducted, along with data collection through semi-structured interviews with agents identified as active in the field of tourism relations in FLONA Tapajós. The results indicate that the existing collective action in the communities, resulting from a process of conflict and resistance for the right to remain, has significantly contributed to the organization of collective action to achieve common objectives regarding the use of FLONA Tapajós for survival and supplementary income, such as forest management and tourism. However, concerning tourism, collective action is limited in terms of its tourism potential. The relationships are interconnected, when one of the actors reduces their influence, the entire field is negatively affected. This makes possible to state that if there were a significant influence from tourism management agencies towards and residents involved in tourism in FLONA Tapajós, the structure, service delivery, information, promotion, and overall service quality could be improved. CAPES - Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior Este estudo aborda a temática do turismo em Unidades de Conservação e a governança no processo de gestão, cujo lócus de pesquisa são as comunidades Jamaraquá, Maguari e São Domingos, localizadas na Floresta Nacional (FLONA) do Tapajós, oeste do Pará. O objetivo geral deste estudo é analisar as relações entre diferentes agentes da cadeia do turismo na FLONA do Tapajós, verificando a governança e a ação coletiva dos agentes sociais locais. Para isso, foram elencados 4 objetivos específicos: 1) Identificar e analisar agentes que atuam no turismo da FLONA; 2) Analisar a governança do turismo na FLONA estudada; 3) Verificar a existência de ações coletivas nas comunidades e seu processo de governança; e 4) Analisar de que modo as comunidades locais se inserem nesse processo de gestão. A pesquisa foi construída a partir de dados qualitativos e abordagem interdisciplinar utilizando referências bibliográficas sobre turismo e governança, ação coletiva e a questão ambiental. Também foram realizadas pesquisas documentais, bem como coleta de dados por meio de entrevistas semiestruturadas com agentes identificados como atuantes no campo de relações do turismo na FLONA. Os resultados alcançados apontam que a ação coletiva existente nas comunidades, fruto de um processo de conflito e resistência pelo direito de permanecer, contribuiu, significativamente, na organização para o alcance de objetivos comuns quanto ao uso da FLONA para a sobrevivência e meio de complementação de renda, como o manejo florestal e o turismo. Contudo, no que tange ao turismo, a ação coletiva se mostra limitada quanto às potencialidades turísticas. As relações do campo se retroalimentam, ainda que, quando um dos agentes diminuiu sua influência, o campo é prejudicado em sua totalidade. Isso possibilita afirmar que, caso houvesse uma relevante influência dos órgãos gestores de turismo para com o ICMBio e moradores envolvidos com turismo na FLONA, a estrutura, o atendimento, a informação, a divulgação e a qualificação de serviços em geral poderiam ser melhores.
