The analysis of such a phenomenon in Brazil, at its theoretical level, in this work - which could lead to the production of a sociological literature of religion with less focus on institutions and more on the individual in his free transit through the immense national symbolic-religious market - is centered on Danielle Hervieu-Léger's concept of the pilgrim. The figure of the pilgrim would be the symbol of a new religiosity - or could we call it spirituality? - at the beginning of this century, always on the move and with no vocation for traditional religiosity, accustomed to symbolic borders and fixed rituals. In the Amazon, this more fluid and deterritorialized religiosity can be better exemplified and identified in its urban dimension and with more intensity in the groups practicing those generically classified as New Age religions in fusion or hybridity with practices and cosmologies of the Amazonian religious imaginary. Its adherents or practitioners emphasize more a religiosity of personal search or spiritual development in contrast with the traditional religiosities of Christian transcendence. In turn, Christians, Catholics and Evangelicals, do not cease to manifest practices and beliefs hybridized with other symbolic-religious matrices, and even an intense transit, whether internal or endogenous, that is, between the diversity of evangelical denominations, (Pentecostal and Neo-Pentecostal ), or external, exemplified by the double or multiple belongings of Catholics. O estudo da dinâmica da religiosidade nos tempos hodiernos, especialmente sobre os processos de construção identitária individuais indicam investigações mais sistemáticas e de maior alcance sobre os efeitos do individualismo religioso moderno na configuração de campos religiosos nacionais; tal fenômeno afeta o tamanho e a mensuração de religiões tradicionais como a cristã e, principalmente, como a religião institucionalizada é afetada em sua capacidade de transmissão de sua memória ou herança religiosa autorizada. A análise de tal fenômeno no Brasil, em seu plano teórico, neste trabalho - o que poderia levar a produção de uma literatura sociológica da religião com menos foco nas instituições e mais no indivíduo em seu livre trânsito pelo imenso mercado simbólico-religioso nacional – está centrado no conceito de peregrino de Danielle Hervieu-Léger. A figura do peregrino seria o símbolo de uma nova religiosidade - ou poderíamos chamar de espiritualidade?- neste início de século, sempre em movimento e sem nenhuma vocação para a religiosidade tradicional, afeita à fronteiras simbólicas e rituais fixas. Na Amazônia, esta religiosidade mais fluida e desterritorializada pode ser melhor exemplificada e identificada em sua dimensão urbana e com mais intensidade nos grupos praticantes das genericamente classificadas como religiões de Nova Era em fusão ou hibridismo com práticas e cosmologias do imaginário religioso amazônico. Seus adeptos ou praticantes enfatizam mais uma religiosidade de busca pessoal ou de desenvolvimento espiritual em contraste com as tradicionais religiosidades de transcendência cristã. Por sua vez, cristãos, católicos e evangélicos, não deixam de manifestar práticas e crenças hibridizadas com outras matrizes simbólico-religiosas, e mesmo um intenso trânsito, seja interno ou endógeno, ou seja, entre a diversidade de denominações evangélicas, (pentecostais e neopentecostais), ou externo, exemplificadas pela duplas ou múltiplas pertenças de católicos.
