This work aims to discuss the application of the methodology of Descriptive Empathic Exercises and its results within the rural area of Thailand, in Vila Palmares, with the 8th grade classes of elementary school II, highlighting how this activity can help in the reformulation of the concepts brought by the students and how these students can understand History through their daily lives. Letters written by the students were used as tools for analysis. The concepts of historical narrative and historical empathy were used with the guidance given by the teacher. We have as a theoretical basis for the writing of this work the authors Cristòfol-Trepat (1995), Virgínia Cuesta (2015) and Peter Lee (2003) for the debate of concepts of historical narrative and historical empathy. A escolha do tema desta pesquisa é fruto de minha experiência como docente na educação básica e do incômodo de tratar os conteúdos sempre de forma automática, preso a metodologias tradicionais e que, muitas vezes, acarretam o desinteresse do aluno pela disciplina História. Este trabalho tem, por objetivo, debater a aplicação da metodologia de Exercícios Empáticos Descritivos e seus resultados dentro da zona rural de Tailândia, na Vila Palmares, com as turmas de 8º ano do ensino fundamental II, destacando de que forma esta atividade pode ajudar na reformulação dos conceitos trazidos pelos alunos e como estes discentes podem compreender a História através do seu cotidiano. Foram utilizadas, como ferramentas de análise, cartas escritas pelos alunos. Utilizou-se os conceitos de narrativa histórica e empatia história com a orientação dada pelo professor.
